The pub has undergone a complete renovation, providing a great location that blends beautiful period features with the modern amenities you’d expect to find in a 21st century pub.

The renovation has provided allowed The Goat to strike the right balance in attracting the football watching pub goer whilst not alienating punters who want to somewhere to have a quiet casual drink.

We stopped in for a drink and a pizza (which was great) and had table service by the fire.

Absolutely loved the roast dinner, amazing selection of vegetable and lovely tasting food. Roast potatoes were a favourite . The garden was lovely to sit in and good with social distancing. Can’t wait to go back

The staff are friendly. The food is plentiful. There are lots of different veg. It is all good value. The only thing which I think needs sorting is, that with it being a traditional old pub with dark little corners and areas it doesn't help that there often don't seem to be light bulbs installed and its hard to get anyone to put them in especially while people are eating. It would be great if there were little tea lights in jars or something. We have returned here often as we know what to expect and feel the prices are fair. I have often joked though that if I had the gumption I would just bring my own tea light and a lighter. Not a real problem though. Look about you should easily find a table next to a window.
