Good: Good breakfast, rooms are ok (a bit old of course), reliable WiFi.

Not good: Hotel is close to the main road and it can be a bit loud in the night.

Overall: Great value for money for a short stay (but for more than 2-3 nights probably not the best option).

Excellent 4 night stay. Well located about a mile from the city centre on a good bus route. Victorian type building well maintained with modern facilities. Superb breakfast and the bistro is well worth a visit . The staff are very helpful and attentive.

Room Tip: Room 32 was ideal

We stayed overnight in the last room remaining at this spotless hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find room 5 spacious and light, with large TV, superb power shower and a lovelry long bath. We also appreciated the very large white fluffy bath towels. The hotel is easily reached from the centre of Southampton by walking across two green parks, by bus, or car.
All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The lady owner kindly found a cafe phone number for us and booked a taxi to pick us up and take us there. Excellent.

Perfect place if you are stopping by, rooms are clean and tidy and plenty of coffee etc, the TVs are fab. Beds are nice and comfortable although we needed a king-size and got a double so for us to small, breakfast was very nice. If needed to go back for one night i would stay here again.

I was quite surprized to find this hotel had only 2 stars so I was a bit worried what it would be like but it was fantastic . the rooms and bed was very comfortable and the owner was very helpful . in the morning we went down to breakfast which was included in the very reasonable price. the 2 waiters were very friendly and couldn't do enough ,the breakfast was really good and you could have a good choice the hotel is quite near a retail park including ikea and some pubs and resturaunts , so on the morning of our cruise we went to kill time at ikea
