We popped in on our way home from Portsmouth . Firstly it a very substantial site . Great fun to wander around with lots of interesting exhibits . This is cannon heaven , very good views out over Portsmouth ,oh and its free . Yes free only £3 for the car park .Get value from your taxes and pay it a visit .

Amazing morning out to see the Wave of Poppies. A great place for children to learn, explore and enjoy the views.

Like many others we went see the "Poppy Wave" on the last day and it was well worth queuing for more than an hour to see them. However we went on to enjoy several more hours of military history, science & ingenious Victorian engineering. There is a nice on site cafe, although selling only cold food, and plenty of toilet facilities. The staff and volunteers are both friendly & knowlegable, happy to engage and answer any questions.
A really interesting and enjoyable experience and amazingly - totally FREE ( small charge for car park ) - As Arnie said - We will be back!

Thank Alan R
