Booked to 2 families to stay over New Year and the property is perfect for this, great open living space downstairs, both families noted the well equipped kitchen, calm morning views, great walks, local pubs and onsite spa/pool (although this was soooooo busy but then again the site was pretty much full so to be expected)
Easy to have a grocery order arrive as you do which was perfect for this time of year and our host delivered the logs to get the 'cosy' going which was much appreciated. You're in the middle of the Cirencester, Malmesbury and Tetbury triangle and all are worth a visit - would definitely recommend.
With your 'garden' literally on a very sizeable lake in Lower Mill Estate, 25 Clearwater is a great place to stay if you like kayaking or canoeing, barbecues, and waking up to the sunshine brightening up a well equipped cottage with a lovely view.
Boasting 4 separate rooms (1 double, 2 twin and 1 bunk), and a great open plan kitchen/dining area/living room, this property is perfect for a group of 4-6 adults. You could sleep 8 of course, but that would be a little cramped.
The kitchen had everything you'd need to cook, host and relax.
Just a 60 second cycle away are 3 half-decent tennis courts, a good spa (outdoor and indoor swimming pool, with steam room, sauna and 'cold dip'). There's also a very small gym.
We were 4 lads average age in late twenties, looking for some R&R and this place was perfect. Not sure if we got lucky, but we found it very peaceful in the mornings and evenings, and a good buzz of activity during the day.
You're not going to get luxury by staying here, but it certainly is comfortable.
There are numerous pubs within a 20 minute cycle in all directions.
We didn't have one single problem during our whole stay, and the only time we needed to get in touch with the landlord resulted in him being on our doorstep within 10 minutes, which I would say is very prompt service. (FYI the reason for contacting him was because we were too stupid to make a note of our access code. We found no faults with the properties).
We didn't shower much at the gaff due to showing in the spa's most days but the few occasions we did, the water was warm and shower pressure good.
When we booked, we had a quasi-interrogation from one of the owners, given that we were an all male party. And that's the way it should be. It's their property to rent to whom they please and they want to maintain the integrity of the complex for their own peace of mind as well as for the pleasure and benefit of other visitors.
We stayed here over a weekend with my family and extended family. There were 8 of us in total. 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 10 - 17.
The house was fantastic. Beautifully presented, clean, tidy with a fabulously kitted out kitchen. The rear of the house was decked, with table and chairs, and the most stunning view ever!
The bedrooms were comfortable, and nicely presented.
There were plenty of things to do on site. The children loved the swimming pools and outdoor play areas. We loved the onsite restaurant for something quick and easy to eat on the day we arrived.
We had a brilliant time here, and would absolutely book another weekend break. Would highly recommend
This is an extremely comfortable and fantastically appointed property with all the comforts of home, all you need is clothes and a toothbrush and toothpaste. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, there are many quaint villages and towns to explore in the area and we even managed a couple of day trips into London and Chessington. The on sight spa is lovely and the pools are very clean and great for all the family. The wildlife is plentiful and the kids enjoyed their morning visits from the ducks. We certainly intend on another visit sooner rather than later.
