We stayed as a group of 11 (6 adults and 5 children) over the Easter weekend. The house was lovely! We all had plenty of room and the bedrooms were comfortable and accommodated us all really well. The kitchen is very well equipped and the decor was very clean. The estate was great. The children had lots of opportunity to use their bikes and the swimming pools both inside and out were clean and even on the dullest coldest day still weren't overly full. We all had a really lovely time. The views from the house balconies were great and the hot tub gave the adults a nice treat too! We will definitely be coming back - hopefully some time soon.

This was a perfect winter escape. An architectural gem sprawled over 3 floors, with spectacular views across the lake, both day & night. Each floor having it's own huge deck with a fabulous selection of outdoor furniture. My husband & I had the ground floor master bedroom which felt luxurious with the glass walled corridor leading round into the bedroom with its lakeside view. Ample wardrobe space...I should have taken more clothes! The lounge & dining area was modern & spacious, yet felt cosy with the fantastic gas effect wood burner. The kitchen was fitted to a high standard with everything we needed to produce a top class meal. The long modern dining table was perfect for our candlelit dinners. The hot tub gave a magical feel as we sat gazing out over the lake sipping a glass of prosecco or two on those cold winter nights. Thank you for a wonderfully blessed stay. We simply have to return again.
Had a lovely short break here. Beautiful views from the lodge over the lake. Everything you would expect and more. Felt like escaping to another world for a few days! Plenty of room in the lodge, we stayed with a group and the living/dining space was set up perfectly with plenty of space in fridge/freezer and seating & dining arrangements. Quality furnishings and finish throughout. Sure we will be back!
Just returned from a long weekend with my family of various ages.. The lodge can not be faulted and the setting is stunning with great views over the lake. (Especially when relaxing in the hot tub). Kitchen is fully equipped, open plan living area is large and spacious. All the bedrooms are extremely clean (personally the mattresses are very hard).
Lower mill estate is beautiful and I recommend a walk around to take in the views properly...
The spa has everything to suit every age, from the children playing in the internal and external pool or the adults relaxing in the steam / sauna.
Jamie Moon met us on our arrival and was very helpful and his personal touch goes a long way.. Very greatful.
Will be looking to return sometime in 2015 !!!
Skylark Lodge is a well maintained fabulously located property ideally located for visiting all of the Cotswolds.
The service we received pre, during and post stay from Tim and Jamie was first class even though they were both on holiday themselves. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues during our stay but they were promptly and efficiently dealt with.
If I had one criticism it would be that the estate is not very well lit and could be dangerous. That said the lack if light does mean you get fantastic views of the stars on a clear night.
The house itself was very clean and well kept and comes with fantastic views of the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with sharp knives, loads of crockery and cutlery and good pots and pans. Towels are provided and are clean and in good condition. A couple of bits of furniture and equipment are probably about due for renewal to make it a real 5 star but overall the place is very impressive.
I would definitely recommend Skylark lodge and we hope to return in the future.
