A spacious restaurant with efficient service and creative food makes The White Spoon a class act.
The pretty water melon, lobster and avocado starter tastes as good as it looks: refreshing and a well balanced contrast of sweet and savoury flavours.
The confit hake is a delightfully moist piece of fish and, to conclude, the apricot souffle with thyme ice cream has a another contrast of both flavour and temperature to produce an excellent dessert.
Recent addition of curtains to dress the windows are a welcome adsorption of some restaurant noise creating a perfect ambience.

Innovative food, great service, very welcoming.

We drove for Sunday lunch and felt it was well worth a drive. My plaice. with samphire was my highlight.

The Sunday roast looked great as did the gin cured salmon, the asparagus soup, the gnocchi.

The food is modern enough without being to modern to eat, portions sizes are perfect.

The restaurant to visit if you are in Cheltenham.

We had the most delicious roast lunch here that I can recall having for a long time if not ever!
Could not fault the service.
The starter was a fish tartar which was so fresh and light.
The main of roast beef was amazing, beef nice and pink, thinly sliced, generous servings of roast potatoes, lots of veggies and my absolute favourite bone broth gravy!
I don’t usually eat dessert, but decided to here, I was not disappointed.
A picture tells a thousand words, so I’ve enclosed some images.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.

Nice setting by a church / green. Very good waitress! Menu was not at all inspiring; lacked creativity. Lunch special was decent value as was the house wine at £3.50 per glass.

Three of us went on Father's Day, and the desserts were all brilliant. The roast was a bit hit-and-miss (not enough meat, thin gravy, and too much Yorkshire pud), but my Torbay sole was excellent.

Service was inconsistent - sometimes in your face, and sometimes hard to find! I just wish that quality restaurants like this would stick to one person for one job, or for one table.
