We drop in here periodically for a drink when going to the Town Hall for evening events, most recently to see Madhur Jaffrey at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.
I suspect that this pub has probably seen better days (there is some history posted on the wall), but on this occasion was almost empty. It meant that we did get a seat in the window to sup our pints (mine was HPA, a particular favourite of mine), but I do fear a little for its future, although I am not really sure what is needed to give it a new lease of life?
