Incredible white cliffs. Better than Dover. A lovely walk, as long or as short as you want, a bit up and down so take water and decent shoes.

Family of 5 with kids aged 6,3 and baby 7months.....What a beauty this place even for us with little kids...Read all the other reviews but the useful points for families with small kids are:
Don't be worried about walking far 1 mile or so like other reviews mention to get to the main area - once you drive and park in Birling Gap -you're there -voila!
Just wrap up -take extra clothing and coats as very wind and wet even in hot day
Walk to the edge, fantastic views immediately, no need to walk any further
Go down the stairs created and enjoy straight on to the beach area (pebbled so go with shoes/sandals)
Absolutely beautiful place to sit and have a picnic
Lots of other areas to walk to but we ran out of time as combined this trip with Drusilla PArk which is down the road so worth doing if you travelling some distance to make it worth your while

Beautifully peaceful, even though it was a hot day, only a handful of people on the beach- I think the 25 min walk from the car park deters many, and the fact that all facilities are at the visitor centre by car park. The sea was like a mill pond and there was a gentle sea breeze. Great rock pooling, make sure to take your water shoes. I even saw a seal basking in the sun!

You can go there by bus with 12X.it takes 1 hour from brighton . The bus ticket is 5 pounds ish. After you get off the bus you have to walk for 1 hour or more. Some people prefer this way for trekking. When you arrive at the top of the cliff the view is really beautiful and unique. İf you have children please ve careful because the cliff is really dangerous. This place is sometimes more sunny and sometimes more windy. You should wear sunglass and take along a jumper. İt is a really nice place to visited, it's worth it.
