“Cosy haven”
Reviewed 6 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We took teenagers, child and dog - everybody loved it. Renovated last year and done beautifully. Lovely sunny mornings sitting in the garden just outside the kitchen (handy for serving bacon butties.) Kitchen was well equipped and very clean as was the rest of the property. Beds comfy, linen fresh and white, and a good shower Perfect location in the Old Town just a couple of mins walk to beach, shops and restaurants. A sea view from most windows due to the site of the cottage. We have stayed in several cottages here and will definitely be using this one again. It hit every note on target - could not possibly fault it.

“Perfect seaside cottage”
Reviewed 19 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

stayed in the cottage over the Easter break. It was a perfect location and beautiful sea views . The owner Gill was a lovely lady. Made everything so simple with great instructions about the cottage.
She made us very welcome with some lovely home made cakes, wine and milk in the fridge and some beautiful daffodils on the table.
The cottage was so pretty and plenty of room for 4 adults and very clean and Gill had thought of everything.
I am sure we will be returning one day

“Great Cottage”
Reviewed 25 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Three of us rented the cottage for a girlie reunion and it was perfect. Thank you very much for the delicious flapjacks! Highly recommended.

“Perfect location for old town Hastings”
Reviewed 15 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This cottage is thoughtfully & beautifully furnished. A great location in Hastings Old Town. You can see the sea from the cottage. Shops on the high street are a 5 min walk. Or if you prefer a country walk, the cliff path starts opposite the cottage. There is a vibrant local pub 2 mins away. We were welcomed at the cottage with a bottle of wine & milk in the fridge plus homemade biscuits - such a nice touch. Very comfy cottage & I wouldn't hesitate to go back to 23 Tackleway.

“lovely cottage, perfectly situated in the old town”
Reviewed 12 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

If you have chosen Hastings as your holiday or short break destination, then you couldn't really ask for more from a holiday rental. The cottage is situated less than five minutes walk from all the main attractions in Hastings old town. It is just two minutes from the seafront and has Hastings East Hill literally just across the road. Cottage is very spacious, warm and cosy.
The booking process was simple and the communication was as good as can be expected, so no complaints there at all.
We were welcomed with a complimentary tin of welcome biscuits and cakes, home-made, which the children quickly demolished. House was very clean and tidy and well-equipped. Great views from the bedrooms upstairs. For those who value it, wi-fi is lightning fast and reliable. Racking my brains but can't think of anything that disappointed.
Some of the previous guests wrote in the guestbook that parking was an issue, but we were very much out of season and had no trouble whatsoever. Not sure how this works in high Summer though.
In short, if we decide to come to Hastings area again, we will certainly try to book this cottage.
