Description: There's nowhere better to tuck into some fresh fish 'n' chips than by the seaside, and The Regency Restaurant on the King's Road is the oldest seafood restaurant in Brighton and Hove with ocean views. Famous for its fresh fish and lively atmosphere, the restaurant has become a dining institution with both locals and visitors from out of town and boasts a cheery red and white tiled terrace that looks out over the West Pier, and a cosy dining room perfect for leisurely lunches and relaxed evening meals. The Regency Restaurant serves everything from locally caught fish to lobster, oysters, mussels, Dover sole, crab, prime Scotch steaks and a variety of vegetarian options along with an excellent wine list.

Was taken after a trip yesterday and was not disappointed. Not usually a fish & chips fan but this tasted great. Friendly staff and great service. Would go back again.

Knowing how busy it is I pre-booked a table for our anniversary and was slightly disappointed that on arrival nobody took our name or reservation number to confirm and so was rushed onto a table - the food is certainly worth waiting for but the service and disorganisation of the staff is a bit off putting.
You can only get house wine by the glass or you have to buy a bottle.

5/5 for food 3/5 staff and service

Thank Dean M

I actually visited this place about 15 years ago and being here on business came back. Very busy suggested I sit outdoors but seagulls are drawn to me so asked to go inside. Staff Italian and lovely.
Haddock and chips good, haddock could have been bigger and thicker which mirrors other reviews. Ate it all was not disappointed but not wowed either.
