It’s nice to wander underneath the arches and browse the artisan shops and cafes. There is often live music playing and Brighton continues to be a trendy place to be.

Getting to a stage of being past it's best describes the area around the pier. I was saddened to see the level of waste plastic bottles and rubbish strewn around the entry areas, and feel that if this is off season what will happen in high summer. A pebble beach may be unusual for England, but is no substitute for sand. The whole area is in need of an injection of TLC, and the cash to back it up.

You are sure to hit the beach at some point on a visit to Brighton, and if the weather is good, as it has been lately, it's a good place to linger. The beach is all pebbles, and quite steep, so more of a swimming beach but people do lie and sunbathe. There are views of the pier, the old West Pier and the British Airways i360 tower, as well as the wind farm offshore. There are also plenty of places to eat

This was a nice place to spend a few hours. But it is getting a bit run down. Really need a nice decent cleanup and repair to bring it back to it glory days.

Famed for having one of the few beaches in England that is pebbled rather than with sand, the beach is a mecca for locals and tourists alike.
'London by the Sea" as Brighton is still sometimes affectionately known.
