Oldfashioned pier without the (for me) horrid arcades and slot machines, Just a relaxed pace to visit and view the seaside sights. Some parking is available and a small fee for entrance helps keep the pier maintained. Nice pace to fish or just watch the world go by.
A lovely location with beautiful views. We chose this as our wedding venue and it was perfect. We had such an amazing day and the team who work/volunteer at the Pier were all so friendly and helpful. It is a venue with a real 'wow' factor and many of our guests have genuinely said the best wedding they have been to.
Definitely recommend visiting or having your own ceremony here as they are a licensed legal venue to tie the knot.
Great pier well maintained. Friendly informative staff at entrance. Only £2 to go onto pier. Lovely views. They mentioned a diver photo display underneath the end of the pier which was very good, astonishing photos of the undersea world right by the pier. Fascinating. A lovely well priced cafe with good menu. Had delicious coffee and cake first visit and booked a table for lunch for the following Monday by the window which they’d opened up as it was so warm. Recommend the seafood salad. I hope the lady with the nosebleed and her son who was very unwell seeing it who I helped are fully recovered.
A really lovely spot! We managed to park on the pier which was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It always helps when the sun shines!
Our first visit to the Pier my Grandad and Nan have a bench in their memory it’s so peaceful sitting looking out at the bay.
The £2 charge and the £200 charge for memory plaques helps keep the pier clean and in good condition could do with painting but know that’s a big job.
Think the memory plaques are a lovely idea for people who have lovely memories in swanage.
