“Perfect location, amazing view!”
Reviewed 26 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This house made a great base for our week in sunny Swanage. The owner dealt with our queries promptly prior to the holiday and also during our stay (social network sites on the internet had been blocked by the provider but a quick email resolved the problem!) The house has large, spacious rooms and an amazing view looking down over the bay. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk down the hill to the town centre though the walk back up is more challenging.
Round the back of the property is a large patio area which is a sun trap in the afternoon.
There is certainly lots to do in the area especially if you like walking: the coastal path is easily reached with a 5 minute walk from the front door. We also enjoyed the walk out from Studland to Harry's Rocks and the Priests Way to Worth Matravers.
Swanage has plenty of eateries to cater for all tastes: we particularly liked the Italian "La Trattoria" though it is popular so best to book. The Fish Plaice serves excellent fish and chips and often has a queue of hungry customers. We had a great time at 1 Salisbury Road and would certainly return again.

“relaxing family holiday”

We have been to Swanage many times with the family . This house was ideal for our needs,
covering an age range of 4 months to 80 years old .The living room is very spacious , the views are amazing . The Kitchen was well equipped for Dinning In .
Although a steep walk from the town to the house it is short and easily done, both for the young after an evening at the pub and the old after a day at the beach .
Combined with a Beach Hut which needs to be book in February a very English and relaxed holiday .

“Fantastic Swanage Holiday House”

This is a fantastic spacious holiday house overlooking Swanage Bay. It has everything that you need for a family holiday and is close to all the amenities in Swanage. I have been two years running and will definitely be returning. The owner is quick to respond to any questions and has been a pleasure to deal with.

“Fabulous House and Holiday!!”
Reviewed 15 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The house was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The views over Swanage Bay and beyond were stunning and Swanage lived up to it's usual high standards.
Lots to do, good food, lovely beaches and good walking/cycling for those that like hills!
Would highly recommend both the House at 1 Salisbury Road and Swanage itself.

“Charming Property with the most amazing view”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A lovely family Property. Good location and stunning views. The property is well equipped for family usage. Not suitable for elderly or disabled visitors as ther is a very steep hill to walk up from Swanage town. Only 10 minutes from the beach and town centre. Swanage itself is a lovely place to stay for a traditional family seaside holiday and there is plenty of lovely walks . The steam railway to Corfe Castle is a delight ful step back in time. Lots of lovely places to visit in the surrounding area.
