The menu is limited, but every item is well made and tasty. Certainly a good place to eat. Upstairs seems more airy.

Stopped of here while visiting the area, lovely soph on the corner of the high street, great for people watching if sitting outside, it’s quite quirky inside tiny doors not very straight wall, it has an upstairs too. Tea comes in a pot which is great, choice of lots of cakes, which look homemade, but not sure if they are. I had an apple cake with clotted cream which was delicious, well worth a visit, it is waitress served which is always nice. They also do breakfast and other food.

Fantastic home-cooked food, with a great choice from homemade cakes and great coffee, through lunchtime staples like lovely fresh cod and chips or ham egg and chips, to more refined meals like pheasant and pressed pork. Wonderful, highly recommended.

A little disappointed (and perhaps a missed opportunity), they don’t serve Sunday Lunch :/

The place has a historic location, evident in its layout. Seating is over two floors, steps throughout, so not suitable for wheelchair access.

Staff are welcoming and attentive. There is a good selection of hot meals on the specials board, so make sure you check them out!

Meal was served promptly, mash was smooth, but I suspect the sausages were pre-cooked and reheated.

This 14th century building is a great setting for this quaint cafè, run by very pleasant ladies. The food was very good and all homemade. The only draw back was the entrance, the door was full of dust and being quite dark inside It looked closed and a bit run down but luckily when we entered we had a very pleasant surprise, nice and clean and what a step back in time!
