Description: The Grosvenor Arms is newly refurbished, it is traditional yet stylish, relaxed yet ‘buzzy’, and open all day. You are always welcome, for a drink in the bar, a cup of coffee in the conservatory, or a pizza from the wood oven. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the paved courtyard is always available for an alfresco lunch or drink. The bar, deli and courtyard are open all day for food, 7.30am -10pm, and the restaurant from 12- 3.00pm and 6.00 – 10pm. Drop in at any time to eat at our bar, enjoy brunch, or for tea and cake in the conservatory. We serve great coffee and specialist loose leaf teas. Our relaxed restaurant serves the finest ingredients, simply, but whenever possible, seasonal, local, wild and organic. Our wood oven produces the best thin crust pizzas, and the most delicious slow cooked shoulder of pork...

Says it all really...

Good food, lovely cocktails (2 for £10 between 5 and 8), but I thought the wine by the glass is expensive. A large (250ml) glass of Montepulciano is £9. Ok, other slightly cheaper wines are available, but £9 is a lot (in my opinion. Other opinions are available).
Our meal was £30... add 2 glasses of wine and you’re getting on for £50! We skipped the wine and waited till we got home.
Why not have a ‘cheap’ house wine?

We really like The Grosvenor. It’s busy, but has space and it’s all ‘nice’. Even the light shades in the bar and the hand wash in the loos are nice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful but this did not detract from the less that clean bathroom and trousers still hanging in the wardrobe from previous visitor. The breakfast was very disappointing as we went down an hour before finish but very poor selection of cereals and already no fruit or yogurts and none expected until next day. Evening meal was very good, its shame everything wasn’t to same standard. Lovely building and great location would be great if they could pull their socks up a bit.

Superb good. Cant faukt it. All cooked fresh, consistently brilliant, imaginative, full of taste. Talanted chef. Lovely staff. Tried numerous doshes over the three meals of 6 days. A must eat at place if within 15 mikes

Stayed in here for one night on the way back to Cornwall, newly refurbished I would guess. Lovely room with everything you need, my check in was painless and the receptionist was helpful particularly with the parking arrangements which are literally 100yds away. Would definitely use again.

Stayed at the hotel for a night with girlfriends. The room was lovely; clean, nicely decorated with fluffy towels. Both the restaurant and the bar were packed with a friendly, buzzing atmosphere- not bad for a Monday night! The food was delicious and the service first class. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
