Online reviews rated Lee Garden very highly, so we decided to have an evening meal here whilst on a short break in the area. The restaurant was very clean, and we were welcomed on arrival. However we were a bit shocked by the high prices on the menu; from memory, a basic main dish started at around £7-£8, (some a lot more), then rice or noodles were an extra £5+ or so on top. Then we spotted the set meals, with the first on the list being for 2 people, priced at £20 (at least, can’t remember exact figure). This sounded much better value, so we ordered this. The food was served quickly and was delicious, and the service very good. We had one small drink and one pudding as extra. The bill came to over £50. We queried this, and were shown the menu which clearly stated £20 per person for the set meal. So admittedly this was our fault, however we have had Chinese food so many times, and have never seen a set meal priced per person before. It spoiled the evening, as we would not have spent that much knowingly.
