We wanted more than a travel lodge, so was happy to pay for a superior room to spoil our selves during a stressful time and have a bit of a get away
When we arrived and checked in we were asked to pay for our room up front which was a first for me, breakfast was an additional £14.00 a head, save your cash and go down to the harvester on the beach.
The room was sadly on the basement level making it difficult to leave the windows open during the burning hot summers day, especially when half the windows were painted shut.
Room cleanliness standards have been evidently stretched as attention to detail was lacking for a room that was £150 a night (even if it was a weekend) radiators and skirtings underneath were thick with dust.
However we had clean fresh bed sheets and crispy clean towels! The pool was small but very clean! Staff around the hotel were tentative (fixed the shower within 10mins)
Location wise, you are situated less than a 10min walk to the beach and a short walk into town.
Parking at the hotel is £10.00 for 24hrs and no guarantee of a space, other car parks are also available locally.More
