Beautiful mansion and looks like something out of a fairly tale, Gorgeous paintings and furnishings. The gardens are to die for and a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon

We have been to the museum several times and each time we are astounded by the wealth of items on display. This house, now a museum encapsulates all that was the cream of Edwardian Britain. There are several floors each with a distinctive display, from typical upper class comfort to my favorite, the Old Empire of the Far East especially the China Collection. It is the gem of Bournemouth, mostly missed by many. Well worth the entrance fee. Go see it, just at the top of the path leading up from the pier approach.

Despite sounding like a brand of electronic kitchen gadget, this is a historic house, art gallery and museum located on the coast at Bournemouth. It's kind of fusty, as you may expect, but me and Mr Random managed to get in free with our Art Fund Passes, otherwise we'd have to pay. It was ... OK, but my trainered feet kept making horrible squeaking noises on the linoleum which was rather distracting, I must say.

The view from the upstairs room of the coast and pier were truly breathtaking.

If you love museums and art galleries this is the place for you. A beautiful house with a fantastic, extremely varied collection of sculpture, paintings and various oddities. A lovely garden and a great little cafe too. Admission very reasonable.

The collections inside the house are amazing and well worth a visit. The museum has an entry fee which up to recently was free . The museum is like going through a time tunnel and visiting the many artifacts collected by Russell Coates from the 19th century
