OK, so, first of all, if you're looking for everything to be perfect, this isn't the place however we did not want perfect. We wanted comfy and clean and to be treated like guests not as an inconvenience like some of the other hotels we've stayed in Bournemouth.
This hotel is good value for money, yes some of the room paintwork needs some touching up and one of our blinds didn't work properly but on the whole it's worth what you pay for it. Would be better if there was a phone system in place as its a mini trek from where we stayed, the Rihanna Room, back to reception. Appreciate that's a big cost but it could work once things get back to normal.
Breakfast was good, table service and social distancing were impeccably observed by the staff at all times.
The 24 hour bar is an added bonus, although one partucular night porter doesn't know his measures. We asked for a gin and tonic and a spiced rum and got 250ml wine glasses full... Not a complaint, we just knew he'd never worked a bar before... Thought we better let the management know before he bankrupts them :)
For two nights stopover in Bournemouth, at the rate we paid and after the experience we had, we will definitely book here again. More
