Hotel is in a great location on Sea front short walk down to the beach then along to Bournemouth center or left to Boscombe. Hotel looks grand and all staff are very smart and had good training. Food was lovely, well served very tastie and we'll presented. Will definitely come back to this hotel again on any other deals we may find.

First of all I would just like the say that the hotel does look very nice from outside. Lovely garden area and the outside pool area does look very nice.
Our child enjoyed just walking around the garden and the ponds. Nice views of the sea/beach from the garden

Inside the hotel it has a very grand feeling, long corridors lots of items on display, a nice 4* feeling.
But.........

Parking: Nightmere. Not many spaces (but eventually got a space). Otherwise was told to park in the hotel behind, but therr were no spaces. There are parking machines in both cars (picture has been up loaded). Website states £10 from check in until check out, but you can use the parking machines 24 hours for £12. Limited spaces. (Though if you are booking a timeshare apartment then there are specific spaces).

Room: We booked a family room and then a double room for our other family members. Our family room was very big with lots of space. Nice view of the sea and had a decent size bathroom.

But.......... No bed for our daughter. I went back down stairs and asked as to why no bed, the staff member told me that upon booking with booking.com they don't tell them that there is a child. Slightly confused by this, as we wouldn't have booked a family room if we didn't need one and the staff member who checked us in double checked all information & said family room with additional bed?
The housekeeper was very polite and quick with the bed.

In our room we only had 1 lamp working & 2 small lamps above the desk that worked. The other 2 lamps didn't work, so we didn't have much of a choice when it came to lighting. Also there was no tv remote, not sure where it had gone or why but slightly annoying that one was not there. As to why it hadn't been spotted before I'm not sure. But considering we weren't spending the evening in the hotel we weren't to bothered. (But would of been nice to have a room that comes with a remote for the tv)

Bathroom was a nice size and clean, but felt it wasn't to the 4* standard that the hotel has been given. A few cobwebs within the bedroom as well (to me the standard for a 4* should be high & every little detail should be checked over).

We didn't eat in the hotel as we saw previous reviews regarding for etc. Also felt £11.95pp for breakfast was a little high, webiste and staff member didnt say about a child price!!!!!
The drinks in the bar seemed a little high priced, but these can be taken back to your room if you want too.

It would of been nice if our room and our other family members were close together but instead had to end up walking across to the other side of the hotel.

The room was very hot even with the windows open, we had one radiator switched off but the other one wouldn't making the room a little unbearable at night. (Yet our family members room had air con).

Me and my girlfriend came here in November for a short break and after booking directly with the hotel, we secured a Seaview suite for the price of an inferior room! The views from our room were stunning, with absolutely jaw dropping sunsets and sunrise. It's such a refreshing change to awake to an amazing sunrise over clear blue seas - as the saying goes, you can get used to this!

The suite was fantastic, with two large flat screen TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom; it certainly feels like a luxurious little home from home. There's a small fridge, just enough for a few items to make sandwiches and the like as well as a few drinks. The suite's living room featured an armchair, two seater sofa and good sized dining table. Unfortunately, the sofas sunk down as soon as we sat in it - they are in desperate need of replacing, there's no support at all; the same is true of the armchair. The table was loose and wobbled around a little but is fine for eating your meals. Just don't let your kids sit on it (if you have any).

With a kingsized bed and more than enough storage space, along with a couple of robes to use in the spa, the bedroom was top of the range, with none of the maintenance issues that let down the living room a little. The bathroom had a bathtub with separate shower cubicle, which is adequate for one person, but if you're thinking of a shower with your partner :D, it's somewhat cramped and neither is it a proper power shower. Like the living room, the bathroom could use a little updating but it's clean, spacious and will do the job.

There are two pools in the hotel, one outdoor and one indoor. Unfortunately, being November, we were unable to use the outdoor pool but the indoor one was lovely. It's small (the outdoor one is bigger and deeper) but big enough to swim in (if you can swim) but not so deep that your feet don't touch the floor. In addition you'll find a lovely hot tub which is just the ticket if you want to relax, loungers and a sauna.

There are numerous places to eat a short walk from the hotel, from cafes to restaraunts - one to take note of is the Luxor, a delightful Lebanese that I have reviewed elsewhere on the site. Take note however that you'd be better off getting the bus for that one as it's quite a long way from the hotel. The food in the hotel itself was of a very high quality for the evening meal; even if you're only paying for bed and breakfast, I'd recommend eating at "Fredrick's" at least once. The breakfast was tasty and filling, with a wide range of food to choose from.

Service throughout was of a very high standard, with a friendly reception team and house keeping had our room made up before we'd returned from breakfast each morning. Toiletries were replenished every day, along with the free mineral water and the reception team were only too happy to help if we required extras (the toiletries are the standard tiny size that aren't really designed for humans he he).

Overall, it was a lovely little break that we both thoroughly enjoyed and I would recommend this hotel but I would say to the management to have a look at those sofas and armchairs as well as the dining table.

very good clean and large room we had a superior room looking out over the sea a fantastic view and very comfortable, hotel had good facilities and very clean also good breakfast but now the bad points
the reception staff did not have a clue when we checked in also tried to charge us when we had already paid also could not understand them properly and also tried to to charge us £50 for parking
the car parking at £10 a day is a joke that is more expensive than an airport , i would never stay more than a day or two because of this

Room tip: superior room with sea views
