Great beach. A lot quieter than most of Bournemouth beaches. Reasonable parking charges, really nice coastal walk with the dog and a dog friendly beach year round. No amenities though so take your own food/drink

Great beach where dogs can run off lead! The water is a bit rough usually but the sand is clean and it's easily accessible from the car park. My pups just love going and running the crazy out!

So I say that it is worth the walk for the benefit of people who don't like walking. If this is the case, or you're unable to walk too far, you can always take the little land train that goes there. I think it's about £3 and takes you from the car park (almost) to the beach. I recommend the cliff walk as the views are spectacular! Once you get there, the beach is gorgeous and there are some other things to do. There is a ferry which can take you to Christchurch (it's a very short trip!), there's is a lovely restaurant (I recommend their risotto) and ice creams. If you're not a fan of lying on the beach you can explore the woodland area and I thunk there are quite a lot of birds to watch, too.
