This was our first time at this Vintage Inn and overall we were very satisfied. Food was lovely and relatively good value.

On arrival, we were unsure whether to take a seat or wait to be seated but were eventually asked by a manager to choose a table and someone would be with us shortly. Our server was friendly and generally built a good rapport with us, but she sometimes came across as abrupt and not very concerned about any problems we had (such as chips not being swapped for sweet potato fries). She didn’t ask us if we wanted any sauces and didn’t check back so we didn’t get an opportunity to ask.

Another issue was that when we asked for another drink, it was made by the bar staff and then left on the bar for our server to bring it to us. The drink was left there for quite a while before our server brought it over and asked if one of us had ordered it. We noticed this happen a few times with different tables, and some customers even went to the bar themselves to get drinks.

The World Cup was being shown which meant there was the occasional eruption of noise from across the restaurant. This was not really a problem for us but I could see it being a problem for others.

Like I said, the food was really good and it’s a nice place, just a few problems with service that detract from the overall experience.

Food disappointing and not very hot. Service slow so won't be going there again for Sunday lunch. Meals in the evenings have been much better. Nice venue shame about Sunday lunches. Not much else to be said.

This is a typical Vintage Inn. friendly staff and a reasonable menu.
This is a busy place so service is not quick. The food is fine but not outstanding.
There is a choice of 4 beers and some pleasant wines to choose from. probably the best place in the area as it is devoid of possible places to eat out.

Room Tip: The place is on a major road junction so try to face towards the hospital rather than the main road.

We used to go to the Jack Rabbit often as it was always a brilliant meal, but recently it's gone downhill.

We arrived and were told that there was no fish available, which limited us greatly. We then ordered our dishes and were told a good 20 minutes later by the waitress that they couldn't serve one of our dishes, as the oven wasn't working.

When the food arrived, The steak was tough and dry and not as advertised. The roast potatoes which went with the chicken weren't roasted, more like boiled, and there was no stuffing as advertised.

We left the meal disappointed. We used to love the Jack Rabbit but our last two trips have left us underwhelmed.
