Been here about ten times over thirty years and witnessed several changes of approach and ownership. The latest incarnation is not the best. The feel and ambience when we came in not long before midnight late last week was not stylish or relaxed and the groups of people around the tables and just milling neither looked happy or eager or in any way encouraging to the rest of us to get drawn in. It has a dour provincial feel and neither I nor my friends who had come here after a formal dinner, looking for entertainment and with more than a few quid in our pockets felt inclined to stay for more than about half an hour.
This was my first visit to a casino and a very pleasant one it was too. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, the food was lovely and the general atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. All in all I found my experience very enjoyable and would certainly recommend Genting for new and seasoned casino visitors.
I recently went to the new look Genting Casino, I hadn't been before but heard it had a makeover, I've been to a couple of casinos in the past and fancied a different night out. I had a really good night, I was a little worried as I wasn't sure how to play all the games but the staff were so friendly and helpful I soon felt at ease.
It's smaller then the casinos I've been to in the past but I think that added to its charm and friendly atmosphere.
Food was great too, I'll definitely be returning.
I've been to Genting Plymouth several times. Always felt very relaxed and at home, and the make-over has done wonders for the place. Excellent customer service, a well stocked bar all with a family feel. What more could you ask for. Will most certainly be back.
Part of a national chain with the usual food and bar, just a few tables and a rather down market ambience. Just inside the rowdy end of the late night area of town. Quite likely you will be hassled by drunk end hen parties and groups of youths as you make your way to and from, however late you leave it.
