Great views over Plymouth Sound especially from the top of Smeaton's Tower. The climb is quite steep in places with much of it by ladder but is well worth it. The sights over the Sound, the Naval Memorial and surrounding areas are awesome. There is plenty of parkland and the Citadel is interesting too. Plenty of places to eat and lots of ice cream vans.

What a lovely place to visit very spacious with fantastic views out to sea. Went on a harbour cruise and this again was well worth the money overall a very enjoyable day out and would highly recommend.

Plymouth Hoe has a fantastic view across the sound. On a hot day it can get pretty busy but the large grassed area is big enough for everyone. There are some bars and cafes close by and the Barbican is just down the road. Great to let the kids run around.

If in Plymouth area Broadway Taxi is highly recommended. Helpful chap, arrives when he says and is thoroughly pleasant. 01752477007 is the number. Used several times on visits.

Such a beautiful place. Lovely walks along the sea front or up by the war memorial. The sea front walk leads onto the historic Barbican which is equally as lovely. Lots of places to eat on the way, ice cream vans dotted around. The views are superb. There is an amazing large outdoor swimming pool by the sea front and a small cost. Definitely worth the visit when it's hot weather!
An amazing part of this city
