“Lovely cottage with spectacular views”
Reviewed 15 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Had a lovely stay at Exeter cottage. Great cottage with everything provided - a real home from home. Secluded location which is great but at the same time, everywhere is easily accessible. The views from the lounge are second to none - we saw some spectacular sunrises and sunsets - beautiful. The spa was a fabulous bonus. All in all it was great.

“Wonderful stay in a wonderful cottage”
Reviewed 12 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This is a fabulous cottage set in a isolated setting, albeit relatively close to local attractions

The cottage itself is tastefully decorated and furnished. There are two bedrooms, a master one and another with bunk beds and a double beds. These were ideal for my two boys. The kitchen adjoins the living room and dining room. Outside is a huge garden and of course the lovely hot tub.

Altogether this was a great stay in a cottage ideal for a young family, in fact the owner even allowed us to take our puppy.

I can't praise the cottage and the owner enough.

“Fantastic holiday at Exeter Lodge”
Reviewed 7 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Have just returned from a week at Exeter Lodge with two children and a dog. Beautiful house and setting loved by all. Everything we needed or could want. House is beautifully decorated, charming and comfortable. Hot tub was a hit and very relaxing after days exploring the local area. Perfectly secluded with fantastic views. Plenty of space inside and out. We were sad to leave and would love to visit again. Thank you.

“Lovely secluded holiday home”
Reviewed 6 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Whatever you do, DO NOT FOLLOW THE POSTCODE to find this place. It states it quite clearly on the welcome pack but those staying with us did and ended up miles away in the wrong place. This holiday home is lovely, the hot tub is great, the kids enjoyed the tyre swing and large garden and all of the rabbits! It's close to Exeter so long as you don't mind navigating the country lanes back to the A38, only about a 15-20 minute drive.
It's very very secluded which is excellent at night as you can sit in the garden star gazing and actually see the arm of the galaxy because it's so clear with no light pollution anywhere near you. The house is brilliant, so old and character full, and the master bedroom has an exceptionally comfortable memory foam super king size bed! We would definitely recommend it for a secluded holiday in the country.
There is only one thing to watch out for, there's no wifi and barely any phone signal (on EE at least) so prepare to take a break from civilization.

Due to the very old, thick walls in the lodge it is tricky to find phone reception so you have to move around a little. However, outside the majority of networks have full reception, even 4G from Exeter.
