By the river, it has interesting white lighting and lovely blue oil lamps.

And most importantly, an Entire Page of extremely yummy gluten free vegan options!! This combination can be so hard to find, but there I was, eating a very nice burger with chips and salad - having had to reject another 9 or so excellent looking other options. I regretted nothing though as I really like burgers and this was very satisfying!

There are also other non vegan but gluten free options.

Children’s options are quite large however, although our 5 year old still packed away a huge amount of her pizza!

Would highly recommend!

This is a lovely place to eat and we visited on a rainy night when all you want to do is have some comfort food-and that really was delivered. Great choice of tapas dishes for sharing. Very fresh bread, lots of (enormous!!) pizzas as well of plenty of other meat/burger dishes. You might struggle to find a lighter meal in here, but that’s true of a lot of places. It’s really well positioned on the waterfront, although the restaurant itself is inside the old storage arch cut back into the hill behind, so it’s like eating in a cavern-which is a good thing when it’s a torrential storm outside! Family friendly but also a great place for a group of friends to have dinner.

We've been coming here every visit to Exeter for 10 years and today was another superb experience.

Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was perfectly cooked and the fizz, delicious.

If you are looking for a great evening with good food in and excellent atmosphere and family friendly surroundings...go here.

A frequent visitor years ago, I forewent this after a very average meal here 2 years ago.
Recently going back, I was thoroughly pleased. Although the onion rings aren’t as good- the pizza was lovely and a hit with us all.
Starters were good, pizza lovely, staff very accommodating- had to send an ale back but no questions or issues were raised, a very simple “no problem sir, what can I replace it with”
When I’m back in Exeter, I will definitely be coming back!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review! I'm glad to hear your recent visit was much better than that a few years ago - we have not changed our onion rings at all over the last few years, though occasionally if there is a problem with the suppliers we might be sent a different brand than we normally use so I apologise if these were not to your liking. I'm glad the problem with your ale was able to be sorted quickly and efficiently and we look forward to seeing you back again in the future!

This place offers an excellent menu with lots of gluten free options. We went for a spicy pizza and garlic bread, which were both very enjoyable ! The burgers also looked great, so we’ll definitely be back!
