“Wonderful views of river, town and countryside”

We spent an absolutely delightful week here at the end of July. The view is everything that's claimed and then some. There's always something interesting to watch on the river or beyond, like the 50 meter 3-masted sailing ship that arrived one evening and left the next. The play of light on the river, the buildings in Kingswear and the hills and fields beyond is endlessly variable, like a sequence of beautiful paintings. Even the ubiquitous seagulls are great fun to watch.

The house itself is compact but was perfect for the two of us. We spent a lot of time watching the view while sitting on the balcony or looking through the open sliding doors. The house is very close to the action downtown, and only about 100 feet from the Rockfish fish and chip takeaway, which we used probably more than was good for us. The Cooperative downtown is convenient for supplies or if you want to do some of your own cooking. Dartmouth Castle is a short and easy walk in the other direction.

We had a great time, and would love to return some day.

“Fabulous view from the balcony”

Had lovely weeks holiday here and didn't get bored with the view from the lounge/balcony - it is fabulous. Paid the extra for use of the parking permit and would recommend this as parking is quite restricted in Dartmouth.

Really glad you enjoyed your holiday. Re parking, it's during the summer season when parking can be tricky although in reality, if you know where to go / when to go it's not so much of an issue. Owners can advise of places where one can park. And from October to end April, most roads are unrestricted. Many thanks.

Many thanks for your feedback - much appreciated and glad you had a great holiday. Thought it might be helpful for readers to mention that the (superb) fish and chip shop (we love their fish) is located down at the approach to Bayard's Cove rather than the side of the property - although of course, Bayard's Cove can be reached by way of the lane which links the street we're on to the street below. Many thanks.
