“Home from home next to the beach”
Reviewed 29 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Gwelmor was exactly what we wanted for our late September break. A lovely homely base for our week in South Cornwall. A feeling of being away from everything and everyone yet close enough to pop out for fish and chips and all the wonderful nearby sights.

“A perfect week!”

Stayed at Gwelmor with our 2 and 4 year old boys... they loved it as did we. Gorgeous beach chalet/perfect location/wonderful views/2 mins walk from the most glorious beach. Weather was amazing and each night when the boys were asleep there was nothing more to do than sit on the veranda with a glass of wine watching the sun go down looking over the bay to St Ives. Returned home relaxed, bronzed and happy... thank you!

“My perfect place!”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We were welcomed after a long drive to a bottle of wine, chocolates and a card waiting for us on the table as we walked into the chalet. From the outside the property looked lovely with stunning views of the sea but once we got inside it was amazing. The kitchen had everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) you could possibly need, the bathroom was great and the rooms were cosy and comfortable. Plenty of space and all we wanted to do was leave the door and windows open to look out over the sea. One evening we took back fish and chips and sat on the front porch watching the sun set and the sea and it was perfect. The location is great, a short drive into St Ives and less than 5 minutes into Hayle (or you could walk it). There are a few pubs nearby and we had a delicious Surfer Burger whilst overooking the sea at The Bluff Inn. It was great to come back after a day of exploring to our new home away from home. I think we have found our new holiday destination for the forseeable future and I cannot recommend this place enough.

“Beautiful Haven Yards From A Magnificent Beach”

I almost do not want to review this as I want to keep the chalet and the beach a well guarded secret but that just wouldn't be fair!! We walked in and the chalet was so pretty and just what you would expect but with added extras. There was a bottle of wine, flowers and a card waiting to welcome us. The spot was perfect, tucked away and on a spectacular beach that is impossible to ever see crowded! We looked over to St Ives which we visited but this was far too busy for too long and the thought of the tranquil chalet to return to kept me going. It was a special holiday place and one that I would love to return to.

Liked best: The relaxed atmosphere and holiday feeling of the chalet itself and I must comment on that great beach!
Liked least: The lack of a utility space to hang wetsuits etc.
