“Lovely positioned house”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I spent a week at the cottage with family, it was really well poisitioned for the town & the sandy, sheltered beach & the harbour. We could also walk to the surfing beach. It was a lovely home, relaxed, easy with enough space & bathrooms for us all.

“Quirky & homely accommodation with stunning sea views”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The property benefitted from all mod cons and contained appropriate entertainment for the evenings, such as puzzles, which has proven the owner has taken a caring interest in the holiday makers' stay. The beach was but a gentle stroll away, providing magestic views and interesting shops. The house was spacious and allowed us time to ourselves and a chance to relax, enjoy the suroundings and contemplate our the busy day. The house had several floors which was mighty fun for the children and the top floor had a brilliant outlook over the surrounding area. I left feeling very much refreshed.

Fab location just a few (steep) steps down to the town and the harbour with stunning views of St Ives. The cottage has plenty of room and is well equipped with some nice decor. It has a nice kitchen, not that you will want or need to cook with great cafes and restaurants on every street (or beach). Perfect base for enjoying the resort

“Annual family holiday”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Beautifully presented Edwardian house in a quiet part of the top end of town; minutes from one of the sandy beaches. Plenty of room for a large family. Kitchen was well supplied and a TV in every room! Cracking views of the town's harbour from the kitchen. Wonderful views of the sea from the top floor bedroom and the back bedroom. Large family sitting room and diner. I would have preferred a kingsized bed in the back bedroom instead of the standard double. However all the beds were comfy and the linen of a high quality.
We loved staying here and would definately stay again. The agent Sarah was very helpful and even offered to send on some gifts we left in the cottage.

“A really interesting house....with everything in it and around it to make for a perfect family holiday.”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Michaelmas Cottage was ideal for our wide range of ages - 6 months to 63! The weather was sunny but chilly and the heating was very efficient. The views were gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked several lovely meals for large numbers. Bathroom space (2 of them ensuite) was plenty for the large number we were. Great having the den/snug in the cellar. The kids slept in there for a few nights! Board games, books and DVD's in abundance as well as several TV's.
The house is a 3 minute pretty walk away from shops, cafes, art galleries, pubs, fish and chip shops (lovely fresh fish) and the harbour. However it is also only 3 minutes walk away from lovely beaches and coastal walks. The sweet little coast railway station is just round the corner. The house is very well placed for everything. Parking for 2 cars was really useful at the house but we were also only a short walk from the Railway station car park where the third car could go as we bought a week long stay parking permit from the County Council.
As well as enjoying St Ives itself we spend many hours exploring nearby villages, beaches, walks. We enjoyed being so close to St Michael's Mount. There is so much to do in and around St Ives for all the family.
We definitely want to return next year. Tim and Sue
