what can I say... we stayed here 24th September for one week, the house exceeded all our expectations, we arrived early and the owner Rachel was very accommodating, the house is big with four big bedrooms, the house is finished to a high standard, everything you could need for your stay is available! The kitchen is great if you wanted to cook meals on your holiday they even have a dishwasher but we didn’t need that as my mother in law came along and she doesn’t mind the washing up! Also in the kitchen is a washer/dryer we didn’t need to use it but it’s ideal if you had children’s clothes you needed to wash whilst away.
The showers are very powerful, the water is hot and the house is lovely and warm.
The walk into St Ives it’s self takes about 25 mins it’s down hill the holiday park opposite runs a bus in the summer but if your going out of season at the end of the Rd near the halestown inn is a bus route that runs into St Ives..it’s a good service, we usually walked into St Ives and got a taxi back. First time we paid £8.50 because they knew we were on holiday we did pay it but the next time we had a taxi the actual fair was only £5.50 so agree a price before hand.. £3 is a big difference for 1.5 miles!
If you do decide to stay here we recommend you have a Chinese takeaway from HONG KONG house in St Ives we had a good variety of dishes and they were all excellent and they delivered which was a bonus!
This house as a high chair and in the cupboard under the stairs is bathroom equipment for babies they have lots of games in the drawers if you have time to play them, also lots of dvds to watch!
We will be booking up again, the house is clean and very modern,
It was my hubby’s birthday while away and I even found string in the drawer to hang some balloons up on the stairs,.. Rachel and Simon have really thought of everything here.
We hope other guests look after this house so our family and others can continue to have great holidays here!
Polmantor touring park is over the Rd and in season they have a bar and restaurant which is closed 30th September til spring 2018 but if it’s open when you are there we recommend you visit the food is great and reasonably priced!
Just returned home after our 3rd stay at The Old Chapel. Simon and Rachel the owners very friendly and efficient. Lovely little welcome pack on arrival, spotless house, beds extremely comfortable with stunning views to wake up to.
We walked in to St Ives via Carbis Bay a few times, this is our favourite walk, the bus runs frequently from Polmanter Park, if you prefer to catch the bus.
Loved coming back here after the hustle and bustle of St Ives, so tranquil. Lucky with the weather again and sat out in the garden most afternoons on the return from our travels.
We've booked again for next year and now and wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's perfect.
Thanks again Simon and Rachel, can't wait for next year
Stayed here with our family over Christmas 2016 . This had everything we needed, lots of room for us all . Fantastic large bedrooms 3 with en suite and a family bathroom
Great location for St Ives and a lovely local pub just down the road. Would use again
Definitely recommend. I should imagine the addled use of the touring park in the summer complimented the stay here perfectly.
Beautiful house in a great location! 4 great sized bedrooms, 3 with an ensuite and and then a family bathroom. Kitchen / dining and living room all open plan which is great for socialising.
We also took our 2 small dogs and they loved it. the Garden is perfect for kids and dogs and the shed had plenty of fun toys for the kids to play with.
You can also use the polmanter touring park facilities and bus service which was ideal. The touring park has a little shop, dog excercising area, pub, park, pool and soft play centre!
You could also walk into st. Ives which only took us about 30mins.
I love this place and would definitely come back!
