Located on a working farm (mainly sheep now) this is the smallest of four available cottages and is ideal for a couple. Well set out and furnished with all you need for a self catering week away. bathroom large with great shower. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in our cosy accommodation. Phil the farmer always on hand across the way to help if needed. It proved an ideal base for visting local attractions such as Lanhydrock House, Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow, Daymer Bay and Port Isaac. Good value for money and helping support farming. Lots of parking round back as well. Wifi connection good. In the middle of nowhere with nearest pub a mile away but after a day out staying in is all we wanted to do.
Use satnav sparingly as it will take you down very narrow lanes whereas sticking to main roads doesn't add much to a journey. We had two Ordnance Survey maps numbers 106 and 109 which proved vey useful. Higher Hendra Farm is on the B3314 not far from Delabole. If you want to do a big shop there is a large Tesco in Wadebridge or Asda in Bodmin.

Excellent accommodation the wheel lodge was kitted out with everything .no need to take anything apart from food and wine. The lodge is handy for port Isaac, padstow and many more attractions close by.The owner Phil is friendly and welcoming .Great for kids as its a working farm.

“Perfect little find ”
Reviewed 15 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Quiet little cottage which is perfect for couples. Easy access to coastal path and plenty of places nearby if you don't mind driving. We had dinner in Padstow, however there is supermarkets at Wadebridge if you wanted to cook at the cottage. Daymer beach is nearby and is a long sandy Beach to which we walked along until we got to Rock. Owners were very welcoming and the cottage was clean/tidy. Would happily recommend to either couples, dog owners, or people who just want a quiet location.

“Just beautiful - wonderful stay”
Reviewed 25 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

I so enjoyed the stay. The farm is so beautiful and peaceful. I could just sit and listen to the wind and faintly hear the sheep sometimes. The owners were very responsive to any questions or requests. Also, when I arrived, there was a delicious, homemade Victoria sponge cake - my first :). Thank you, Angela and Phil. I hope to return soon!
