“Such a lovely village”

Was here 30 years ago. Coming back was the best thing I could do. It was a sunny day, so alot of people were there. Car park is outside the village, there is only the option of paying for 3 hours. I didn´t pay much attention to the shops and went straight on to the cliffs where you have fantastic views over Polperro. Polperro itself is very touristic, of course. Lovely, though!

Well my husband thought it would be a lovely anniversary walk from polporro to polruan and back!! The walk is very challenging with a number of steps and steep hills but I really did enjoy it, the views are stunning with a number of coves and beaches.

You will need to have a good level of fitness for this, good walking shoes and take water with you as there is nothing on route to stop for refreshments.

This is a beautiful walk that we did together with our seven year old daughters and 12 year old son. We are not walkers but all relatively fit. We walked from Polruan to Polperro and tracked the distance at 8 miles which was a surprise to us all seeing that it is stated as 6.5 miles on the National Trust website. As mentioned it is a beautiful walk however very endulating with steep climbs and steep descents on a regular basis. I think that the last half of the walk was tougher than the first however that could have been due to our depleting energy levels.

We walked from Polperro to Polruan and Wow! Can't deny that this is a challenging walk, with very steep climbs. Yet, the views are outstanding and once we had arrived at our destination the cider was well deserved and tasted even better! Was a great sense of achievement when we had completed the walk.
