“Qwerky Little Cottage”
Reviewed 15 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Qwerky little cottage that really adds to the Cornish Holiday experience. Perfect for a family of four, with added benefit of a garden for children to burn off steam. Fantastic family room on the 3rd floor to listen to harbour sounds and relax. Tastefully decorated with plenty of books to pick up and browse and music system to chill to.
The property is on 3 floors and hence may be a challenge for those with very young children or anyone with mobility issues.

“Well worth the second visit”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Popped to Polperro for the latest wet Bank Holiday weekend!! I knew the cottage would be cosy and with the addition of the log burner, even better.
The lovely, jovial Kelvin greeted us with the key and all ran smoothly.
Logs and sticks were available just around the corner and the Blue Peter Inn is just across the harbour.
We visited the bakery for fresh bread and cakes and the fudge shop for treats!!
The beautiful walk to Talland Bay is always a delight and even the sun popped out.
I love the feel of this cottage, everything you require is provided, you just need to remember this is a typical fishermans cottage built into the side of a cliff and therefore has a right to be quirky........we will be back.

“Great Cottage. Great Location.”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

A lovely, peaceful retreat, nestled among the many other old, fisherman's cottages all squashed together along the narrow little street, The Warren, that runs part of the way round the harbour. So it's a perfect location. You can sit in the garden and look out to the sea in one direction or the village and the seagulls swooping over the rooftops in the other direction.
There's a good standard of decor, especially in the bright and spacious lounge, which is the best room in the house, with similar views across the sea and the harbour.
This house would best suit a young family as the second bedroom has a bunk bed, for two young children.
Recommended.

Four days of bliss......
Among many reviews, I don't often leave a rating of 'Excellent' here on Trip advisor. However, this time its most definitely justified.

I'm so happy to have stayed at Cobblestones to celebrate my Birthday. Polperro is a magical place, unfeasibly pretty with a typically rugged Cornish charm. We were so lucky with the February weather, which was glorious.
In my opinion, a Winter stay here is a must.

Hearty pub dinners by roaring firesides, wrapping up warm for exploratory walks, taking in the local scenery, cosy and warm nights in, all this with the additional bonus of having Polperro almost to ourselves. We were in Heaven.
Terms best to describe Cobblestones Cottage? - Charming, Historical, tranquil, perfectly located, comfortable, peaceful, warm, welcoming, stunning vistas, elegant décor, bright, chic, beautiful, artistic, quaint, 'home from home'. Cobblestones is all this and more.

Even if one were never to set foot outside, there is so much inside to keep one interested. A wealth of books and games, a compact but very well equipped kitchen [I made good use of the cookbooks] a music system, and an i-pod dock. Worth noting is the impressive cinema quality surround sound system [I'd recommend taking some DVDs, definitely worth it]

The cottage is situated in the 'Warren' by far the most atmospheric part of Polperro. In the living room, the log burning stove was a godsend, and the view from here is magnificent. The comfy window seats are the perfect place to perch and feel inspired, or simply listen to the sound of the seagulls. We saw some great sunsets from the elevated garden, which has far reaching views across the harbour and the sea beyond.

Cobblestones is unique, yet unmistakeably Cornish. One can feel the Heritage and History within its walls. Built into the rock face in defiance of the elements, this is not your average holiday let. Being far removed from the scourge of identikit 'Boutique' style, and all the better for it. For us Cobblestones was the perfect place to kick back, relax and forget about the stresses of everyday life, in comfort and true style. Cliché but truly accurate. Do yourself a favour and try it.

If you're thinking about a visit to Polperro, its worth doing a little research to make the most of your stay. So here's some info you may find useful:-

* The nature of layout means Polperro is by necessity, mostly traffic free, although there is a large car park near the entrance to the village.
* Mostly all you could need for your stay is available from the little supermarket near the Post Office, a short walk from Cobblestones. In Winter its open till 5pm [They even stock logs for the fire]
* There's also a wine shop, and a bakery very nearby, all open while we were there, and only a few minutes walk away too.
* Although most restaurants don't re-open for the season until Easter, some were open. Even so, good food was available in the local pubs [The Blue Peter was our favourite]

“Beautiful clean cottage”
Reviewed 4 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Took myself off for a long weekend to Cobblestones to chill out. On arrival the cottage was very warm as it was very cold outside this was a a god send. I found the cottage beautifully furnished with some lovely artwork. the whole cottage had taste about it. The couple of negative comments I read about Cobblestones are certainly not justified. The log fire was a plus at this time of the year and I stayed warm all weekend. the local pubs served very good food and I found the locals very friendly, I enjoyed the coastal walks I took. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.
