Visiting Penzance we were looking to grab a sandwich for lunch - fantastic value for money and the team were really friendly. Didn't bother with tea!

we stopped here for lunch on one of our day trips whilst holidaying in St Ive's and is the best cafe I have ever been to in regard of their sandwiches, I ordered a ham salad sandwich with the expectation of wanting a pud of some kind, but no, there was so much filling and the ham was at least 6mm thick, I was stuffed to the limit, the owner and her staff were friendly, chatty and very helpful, highly, highly recommend

14.15 on a Cornish holiday and no sign of a restaurant or pub still open for lunch. Following the sea from the station for about ten minutes we found this restaurant, and what a nice surprise! Past a couple of tables outside at the top of a gentle slope to the sea and we were welcomed into The Harbourside Cafe. We had fish and chips but this was just one option on a small but interesting menu. This is definitely not just a chippy and to prove it we enjoyed a very fine bottle of Merlot to go with our food. The service was quick and cheerful and the owner ( I think) charming and funny. A real oasis in a town not given to serving later lunches.

Excellent breakfasts with good teas and coffees. Enjoyed the music as well. Only let down was the sign stating that they fry in GM (Genetically Modified) vegetable oil.
