Description: The Treguth Inn is located in the peaceful village of Holywell, by the stunning beach of Holywell Bay, just five miles west of Newquay. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, with the best of the Cornish coast, it is the perfect place to wine and dine, meet up with friends and have a drink or two, or share a bar snack with some fine wines and ales.

There is a good atmosphere in the pub and I enjoyed the beer. It is a very dog friendly pub. I do think the dogs however should be restricted from the dining area, I also think that dogs should be kept off the furniture. THe pub was very shabby and the seats filthy and well due for a makeover. I would suggest that a wipe down material would help improve the cleanliness of the place. It did smell rather like a dog kennel. We would imagine this is a goldmine in the summer months being situated so close to the beautiful bay. The pub is very attractive externally with its Reed thatched roof and there’s are inter sting old photographs of the building on display. I would like to visit again when I can enjoy a beer in the ample beer garden.

This must be nicest pub in England, a family run pub that welcomes dogs children and even husbands! Got games and books for children at the time of writing no WiFi hence the games, good range of beers, but the major attraction is the food. Some might call it traditional or simple, scampi, fish, homemade pies ham egg and chips, and daily specials, but all freshly made and cooked. The steak and ale pie was the best I have had and the portion was huge (could not make the pudding). Most of the mains are about £10. Not sure if it is possible to book but if going in season it would be advisable. P.S. there are also biscuits for the dog.

Visited Holywell bay by bus, unfortunately it was pouring with rain after we had walked on the beach and there was over an hour to wait for another bus. We decided to have lunch at this pub while we waited. A very warm and inviting pub with a very friendly and welcoming landlord, the food was lovely too. Would definately visit again if in the area.

Wow, what a great pub that appears to have it all. Firstly the pub itself is a fabulous thatched building, very traditional with a great feel to it. 5 mins walk to Holywell Bay beach. There is a good selection of larger, ales and wines which are all well kept. The landlord seems a nice chap, happy to have a chat and advise of places to visit. The staff are also very wecoming and friendly, happy to accommodate any request. The food here is fantastic, all fresh and home cooked, a real treat for the tastebuds. The Sunday roasts are a must, good selection of meat, homemade gravey, giant Yorkshire Puddings and fresh veg. They'll even cook off the main menu but why would you! It did get busy so I would advise to book if possible. Points of interest, proper fresh coffee, dog friendly and the only pub for miles to have Sky Sports. A must for all ages.
