This is a small tea shop in the centre of Looe. We had the Cornish tea - truly massive scones with jam and clotted cream - served in china pots. Other cakes included the largest Victoria sponge I have ever seen! If you are strolling through the town do stop here for a sweet treat.

First visit to Truly Scrumptious East Looe well what can I say? Was made to feel very welcome the moment I stepped in the cafe. Staff are warm and welcoming, cafe is spotlessly clean cakes and food look delicious. Personally I choose the cream tea with fruit scones can honestly say was a pure delight to eat this cafe lives up to its name it was truly scrumptious. Only £4.95 was well worth it. I can highly recommend this cafe and it is dog friendly

With a good 40 mins to spare before the car park ticket ran out, we were tempted in by the cakes in the window. It looked a little clinical downstairs (not difficult to make it look welcoming) and it wasn't obvious there was seating upstairs. We ordered and paid then sat and waited, and waited and waited. It didn't look busy, but we waited 20 mins to be brought someone else's order. Then we waited again and eventually our cakes arrived. then we were brought the wrong coffee so had to wait again for that to be corrected. The staff were unfriendly as though it was our fault. The cakes were huge; too big for the UK's expanding waistline and tasted far too sweet and sickly. I think they were bought in and really were too much of a not very good thing. I couldn't eat mine because it was so cloying, sweet and sickly. We ended up not being able to relax because of the excessive waiting time and the car park ticket expiring but at least the coffee was okay when they eventually got it right.
