Hired a double kayak for two hours from swanpool beach, guy who owns the kayak hire was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent price and we had a great time.

Spend mayday bank holiday Sunday on this beach doing activities as part of a kids rugby tour with a company called elemental who are based at Swanpool (and Tolcarne)

Stunning beach

Shingly- so better with rubber shoes but no real hassle

Water crystal clear

Little cafe - but very slow service, take your own food - a lot of people bbq although not technically allowed I think

Lovely spot

Literally the worst kind of person running the bouncy castle. Apparently he owns the whole thing which amazes me that he's so blooming miserable. Happy enough to take the money though. Shouts at kids, and thier parents. Stay away or bring a large stick to poke him with. Miserable old.........

We are so sorry about this. Unfortunately, we were a little short-staffed over the weekend so I reluctantly asked my Father-in-law to step in - he has a tendency to be a little short at times and clearly this is one such occasion. If its any consolation, my wife and I are equally upset, we've raised it with him and he wont be making a guest appearance at the bouncy castle and terrifying kids and parents alike any time soon!

Sandy beach with large stones of sea defence to clamber on or perch to watch sea craft and activities. Great sea bathing. Good beach cafe or more 'up-market' restaurant. Just on Coastal Footpath. Great place to relax and kick off the walking boots to paddle. Large car park and walks around Swanpool lake.

Parking free from Nov - March, just beside the nature reserve and I had breakfast on the beach on a rare sunny february morning whilst my dog played in the water, lovely. :-)
