Haven't seen this part at all although I have lived in Cornwall for a long time. It is a calm and peaceful place with a flat walk around the outside of the lake. There is a lovely view across the lake and there are lots of birds enjoying the calm of the water. People were feeding the swans with bread. An enjoyable walk and view. You are opposite the beach which is small but pleasant. There is a cafe on the beach. Parking is free between November and February inclusive.

Put simply its a little cove with spectacular walks both sides which are good for the cardio workout! There's a little cafe there and free parking in the winter months. The Cornish ice-cream flavours are hit with everyone. Its kind of shingle with sand going into the water (?) but would be amazing for shelter in the summer and probably not as busy as Guilly beach to the east?

Been to beaches on 3 continents and in at least 10 countries. With apologies to the detractors of Swanpool - this place rates. There is a lot going on here in a small amount of space - beach cafe, parking, mini golf, nature preserve (with unique sea life habitat), rocky outcrops, sand, cobbles and for those who like that sort of thing - plenty of seaweed. Caveats - smallish, not pure sand by the water (especially when the tide is out), pristine view occasionally marred slightly by anchored shipping in Falmouth Bay, quite near the road (not too busy) so there will be some vehicle noise. All that considered, I'd go back in any season (and I travelled 3,400 miles to visit the Falmouth area) . It's a cool little beach spot!

We like this beach even at this time of year when it was covered with seaweed...... good cafe .. and a restaurant up the hill...... nice place to go with the family.
