Owner description: Booth Mansion is an historic building in the centre of the City of Chester. It is Grade 1 listed and has a number of historical aspects of note. The building was extended in 1701 by George Booth, the 1st Earl of Warrington and a number of features remain. Recently refurbished it reopened in October 2016 to include a Gallery, Tea room, Deli and retail. Since October the venue has developed its customer offering to include light lunches, Cream Tea, Afternoon Teas and its Signature dish, High Tea. The Trip Advisor reviews have highlighted a number of comments, "Hidden Gem" "Slice of luxury" By the local Cestrian community this has been said to be the place for a chill out relax in amazing Georgian surroundings. Privately run by a family team it is very definitely an "Indie" location. They run craft fairs and food fairs out on the Historic Rows outside the building at weekends, currently the first and last Saturday of the month.
Useful Information: Stairs / lift, Food available for purchase, Baby buggy parking, Bathroom facilities

We had the pleasure of afternoon tea for 2 here today and it was wonderful, the best afternoon tea we have had!
Lovely property, very well kept and clean.
The staff were exceptional and very friendly, I wish we were staying longer as we would come again! And will definitely visit here if we do come back to visit Chester.
Thankyou to all the staff here! Brilliant service and food.

We enjoyed this take on Chester history. Very good displays from past times, & how people lived then.

I visited Booth Mansion yesterday for Afternoon Tea, it was a pre-wedding treat for my daughter. It was a very different and unique afternoon tea! There were the usual finger sandwiches, scones and cakes etc but what made it unique was the addition of savouries e.g mini cups of soup, mini pasties, sausage rolls etc. Beautifully presented with attentive and welcoming staff, in a very quintessential English Tea Room. Highly recommended!

13 of us had afternoon tea with prosecco to celebrate my sister's forthcoming wedding. Sue and her team were friendly and very accommodating to our requests. The food was lovely and a nice mix of sweet and savoury...and there was plenty of it! lovely place and I'm sure I will be back again in the future.

Had the most amazing Afternoon Tea at Booth Mansion today. From arrival to leaving, every minute spent at this wonderful venue was delightful.
Sue clearly is very passionate about making sure you have a wonderful experience, and you will not be dissapointed.
Beth looked after us so well. Always being there to make sure we had everything we needed, without being over bearing. A lovely way about her which is so rare today so thankyou Beth.
Choice of drinks/Teas is excellent. My wife and I had 2 pots of Tea each as we took our time enjoying the delights on offer.
Every ellement on both the Savory and sweet plate was simply sublime. All tasty even better they they looked.
This is the best afternoon tea we have had to date anywhere. It will not dissapoint even the most discerning.
Thank you Sue, and Beth, for making our afternoon with you so enjoyable. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Chester.
