We visited after a walk around the Cambridge City Centre. The cafe was on the top floor of the M&S building. On arrival the cafe was very busy and all the staff appeared to be busy. All the tables were clear, but the floor was not. We had to ask a member of staff who was in the process of cleaning to clear up, which they did as soon as we asked.
There were some tables are at a window facing over the market, but all of these were full today.
There were plenty of cakes available at decent prices. It took a while longer than usual to get to the front of the queue. Once at the front, we were quickly served. Food and drink was tasty and of good quality.
Overall, the cafe was generally good and the staff were all working hard, but all the problems could be solved with a few more staff.
