Description: JAMIE'S ITALIAN CAMBRIDGE A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. Based in a beautiful grade II listed building, with a magnificent domed ceiling and pillars that span the whole height of the room, Jamie's Italian Cambridge is the perfect setting to enjoy an Italian feast in style. Situated in the heart of the city centre, the restaurant is ideally located for anything from a casual dinner with friends or a working lunch to an intimate meal or a big celebration.

Eaten at many Jamie’s and a few times at this one. Food was outstanding. Huge group elsewhere in restaurant caused delay but waitress helpful apologetic and attentive. Highly recommended and bemused this chain having difficulties.

Lovely restaurant with good food and a special interior. It seems it used to be a library, and the inside is very pretty despite a rather unassuming exterior. Worth a visit just to look inside.

The set menu lunch was fairly nice. The calamari starter was particularly nicely done. I didn't like the nachos very much though.

The restaurant can get a bit noisy and there isn't much space, especially around the peak times. The servers were quite attentive though.

Note: it is wheelchair-accessible. It can be a bit crammed, but still manageable.

Bag a bargain with the special lunchtime menu . Beware some of the starters are large . We had deep fried squid and we're feeling very full before we started on the main . Fantastic tasting food where every thing is thought about to keep the theme of this restaurant .classical decor with semi modern furnishings . Every where is well thought out in this old library . A group of 4 of us all had different meals and were not dissapointed . Staff efficient and helpful .

We went for lunch on Saturday and book with my gold card for 1.00. We were taken straight to a table and had a short wait before our waiter came to take our order. He was charming and apologised for the wait. He explained are gold card tasters and offered us a free bottle of wine either to have with lunch or to take home. Our food was delicious and we were both pleased with our choices. We have already booked for a birthday celebration in July. Highly recommended
