Arrived in Cambridge early for a business meeting and came across this place for lunch. We were greeted by James the manager like long lost friends and he made sure we could fit lunch in to our relatively tight timescale.

The food was excellent, with some interesting flavour combinations and was very nicely presented.

I will definitely be coming back.

Thank Jarrse

Visited the Oak Bistro with my girlfriend. Service was excellent, was offered to move to a table in the courtyard as there was a free table.

We had the Rump of Lamb and Seabream, both of which were delicious and well presented followed by a chocolate fondant.

We both loved it and would highly recommend it, we found it reasonably priced for such high quality all round.

Enjoyed a great Saturday lunch here in the courtyard. The menu is broad and well priced and we are from the a la carte although there was a really good value lunch menu as well. Highlights were the juicy lamb which was a large portion of tender meat, and a perfectly cooked steak with fries.
For desserts we shared the tangy fruit sorbets and a chocolate fondant, which was flawless. The wine list was also extensive and really well priced.
This place is really worth checking out.

After hearing lots of great reviews we decided to venture into Cambridge to take a look ourselves.
We walked from the centre of town and the traffic was crazy busy, we arrived outside to be surprised at how small it looked and how close to all the traffic
But once inside we had the warmest of welcomes and we couldn’t believe actually how quiet it was, from inside you can’t hear the traffic at all!
Friendly, attentive staff that can’t do enough for you.
I’m not drinking alcohol so the barman made me some of the most delicious mock tails I’ve ever had!
The attention to detail of the drinks and food was second to none.
The food looked and tasted incredible very tasty, full of flavour.
The best scallops we have both EVER eaten!
We both had steaks for main no pics sorry but highly recommended and was cooked to perfection and a decent size.

Don’t be put off by this places location we travelled half an hour then walked from town and we would/will do it again.

Massive thanks to the staff.

From the first moment this restaurant had the right vibe. Cosy and intimate inside, cheery and pleasant in the courtyard. Exquisite food, including the best risotto (mushroom) that I can ever remember My wife’s pork belly she reported was a bit dry. My scallops on pea sauce were amazing, whilst my wife’s Aubergine parmigiana was far better than average, although not her best ever. With good wine and great table service it added up to a very satisfying evening.
