“Cosy cottage near Bristol”
Reviewed 8 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We really enjoy our stay at the cottage, plenty of space for the kids with the open space downstairs, the owner are very friendly and the dog is adorable, the kids loved her. It's near a busy road but you don't really pay notice once you are in. Near a few parks and close to Bristol. Lots to do down south and not far from the sea side. Perfect spot to explore around.

“Comfortable house in a nice village”

We really enjoyed our stay at the coach house Backwell. The owners were helpful and friendly, easy location to visit Bristol and Bath. It had everything we needed and didn't want to leave.

“Bristol break”

Iola was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The cottage was a good size but in need of a bit of tlc. We have stayed in many 4* cottages before (not through trip advisor) but it was not in the same league. None of those nice little extras like soap, milk, dishwasher tablets. It's in need of a bit of an upgrade, repairing and replacing tatty/ worn out/ broken items and a thorough clean.

Thank you for your earlier comments and I am sorry you felt there were some issues. It is always better to say at the time so problems can be addressed. Dishwasher tablet and liquid soap are normally provided. I also brought in extra chairs and plates etc to help with extra guests arriving for a family meal. Although we generally keep to Saturday changeovers we try to be flexible and helpful and so allowed a Thursday arrival as requested although a work day for me so changeover was probably a bit rushed.

“Excellent house”
Reviewed 20 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Great time in a lovely house. Comfortable, clean I couldn't ask for more. With parking on site it was an ideal location for a week's holiday in Bristol. This was our second holiday at the Coach House and I will have no problem returning . Highly recommended.

“A good place to stay for visiting the Bristol area”
Reviewed 23 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Visited the area for a week with my wife, 22 year old son and 18 year old daughter as it was our sons Bristol University graduation on the Friday. The Coach House has plenty of parking and the door was already unlocked for us as the owners live just across the gravelled yard. The property is clean and bright with an open plan ground floor with a large modern kitchen area. The bedrooms are comfortable with good bathroom facilities. The pubic transport is good with bus stops nearby to get into Bristol and a train station only about a mile away. Its about £3.50 for a single bus ticket into the centre of Bristol or a taxi will take you in for around £20.00. There are local shops and takeaways/restaurants with The George (about a mile away) particularly nice for a meal and drink. There is also a large Tesco about 2-3 miles away in Nailsea with cheap petrol available. The owners are very friendly and we had a very pleasant stay which was also good value with it easy to drive to nearby places such as Cheddar Gorge or Bath.
