Not only free entry but very informative and beautifully presented. It feels like walking back to the Renaissance time.

This is a remarkably preserved Tudor wood-panel house. The staff are wonderfully informative, and this is a must visit for anyone interested in the history of the period.

This is a small free museum in a house in Park Row. The exhibits are spread over 3 floors. There is a small garden to rest in.

The Red Lodge (c.1580) is one of many museums in Bristol that offer free entrance. Upon arriving you see the wonderful garden. Inside the house is interesting but a bit dark. The Great Oak Room, with its fantastic wood carvings, is the highlight of this house.

the herb gardens as you walk in to this museum are really beautiful and smell amazing- the house itself has so many wonderful pieces of furniture from different eras and the newly discovered well is really cool. A nice thing to drop into when youre in this part of town for half an hour of history
