The new “being Brunel” is magnificent and shows the range of this genius - not just trains and ships but also a pre-fab hospital which was sent to the Crimean war.

I visited Brunel's S S Great Britain in June 2018. The entry was quite expensive. It took around an hour to see everything. The ship is rusting and the rooms have mannequins in them. Lots of kids on a school trip were visiting. I found this attraction a bit boring compared to other ship exhibitions I have been to in the past such as the Portsmouth historic dockyard and Royal Yacht Britannia in Scotland. There was just not much there to see at the S S Great Britain exhibition.

Great day out, much more interesting than anticipated. Took up almost my whole day in Bristol and didn’t get to visit much else! Beautiful ship to look at inside and out.

Expected this to be another beautiful but rather boring nautical exhibit. But the truth is it was amazing. The fact that this is the 1st ship ever built with a steel hull and that you can visit the entire restored ship from dry dock on up, is amazing. Great museum as well as souvenir shop. Really enjoyed it!!!

Wow, what a superb ship... Truly enjoyed our visit... All the sights, sounds and smells from a bygone era really add to the atmosphere. The "crew" on board were very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Lots of learning to be done which was great for our 11yr old son... The trip down to see the hull of the ship was good and really made you think you were underwater.. (make sure to do this bit first if the weather is hot as it gets VERY hot down there later in the day). Great to see the difference between the opulent first class passengers and the poor people who had to travel third class.. Quite a contrast. There is certainly lots to explore and well worth the money, especially as your one ticket gets you return visits through the year. Very accessible for disabled people as lifts everywhere, the only bit to watch is down by the hull as the cobbles can be slippery and the floor uneven but that was the only hazard. The shop was well stocked and was not overpriced as some other attractions are.. Well worth a visit here.
