“Charming cottage in an interesting location”
Reviewed 29 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Our first visit to Suffolk was very much enhanced by the cosy and charming delights of White Sheep Cottage in Peasenhall (the Valley of the Peas!) The house manages to show off its age in characteristic features such as enormous stone fireplace, bowing wooden walls and timber and plastered walls, whilst being cosy at the same time. The kitchen and conservatory are very sociable spaces as would the garden be, only we were mainly out during the day. It's well equipped with rainy day materials too and you would have to visit several times a way to make headway with the veritable library of books. There are numerous interesting Suffolk villages to visit nearby, stuffed with pubs, bakeries, teashops and shops as well as activities such as walking, bird-spotting and some lovely wild beaches. Hope it won't be our last visit!

“Beautifully presented”
Reviewed 13 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

This utterly charming country cottage oozes charm and character and works very well for small group stays.

It blends historic features (such as the oak hall panelling and ceiling beams) with practical and usable modern elements (ie, the stunning kitchen and conservatory) seamlessly.

I slept in the master bedroom which was cosy and warm. The en suite shower room is neatly executed and the shower easy to use, with an endless supply of hot water.

The kitchen offers a large and homely environment for group breakfasts and lunches and is well equipped. Over the hallway is an attractive and cosy dining room (I love the sloping ceiling!) leading into the modern conservatory extension.

I stayed with friends for the November fireworks weekend. The cottage is well sited for Suffolk coast walks. A visit to Walberswick and its village pub is highly recommended.

In summary, a beautifully presented and well appointed country cottage which is highly recommended, situated in an attractive part of Suffolk.

“Fabulous break”
Reviewed 9 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Wonderful location and a beautiful cottage.
The cottage is quirky, and has a charming history. Lots of thoughtful touches, with little sheep (pretend ones) in the garden and cottage.
Cottage is well equipped, brill kitchen with everything you need, warm, clean and lovely comfy beds. Always good to sleep well.
Stayed with friends to celebrate fireworks. The kitchen functions so well for sitting, eating and chatting.Beautiful places to visit in the area, quaint villages, wonderful pubs and amazing food in pubs we went to.

“Perfect Suffolk Cottage ideally situated for visiting Southwold Aldeburgh etc”
Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We absolutely fell in love with White Sheep Cottage even before we walked through the front door....Really thoughtfully furnished and equipped, and everywhere you turned, another sheep-related object appeared. Even the Pecorino wine left to welcome us had a sheep on the label...We got very excited when we looked round the beautiful garden and found two black sheep made of beads hanging out under the apple tree. We arrived in warm sunshine and took a stroll down to the White Horse at Sibton for an al fresco pint of the local beer, Adnams (of Southwold), passing a peacock strolling along ....

Brunch in the garden on our first morning (sampling bacon from the famous local deli, Emmetts) in hot sunshine, watching butterflies and enjoying the lavender, we really felt
we'd lucked out finding this place. We had a week of very mixed weather, which meant we could swim and sunbathe at Southwold and Walberswick, and also explore and walk along some wild stretches of shore. (Dunwich Heath). Went across to Orford Ness and had a brilliant walk and voyage of discovery...There are so many places of interest within a 20 minute drive that it really is perfectly situated.

When it poured with rain, the place felt so cosy we were happy to light the candles in the amazing fireplace and play a board game (a choice supplied by Sue, the helpful owner).

The place is old, 16Century, but is equipped with all the 21st Century family needs, Wifi, DVD player, etc. Not to mention a huge selection of books and cuddly toys..

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!! Thank you Sue for putting it together with such care and style.

“A Real Gem, Baaaa none :-)”
Reviewed 11 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at White Sheep Cottage, a party of five consisting of 2yr old Grand daughter, Daughter, her partner, myself and hubby.
The pictures, which are good do not do this place justice. It was the perfect place to kick back, relax and indulge in some family time.
Everything you may need is here, in the kitchen, bathrooms, interesting books to read. We played dominos for the first time in years.
The beds are comfy as are the sofas. You will not be short of a cushion or two, snuggly blankets to cuddly up under if it turns a bit nippy.
Peasenhall village is small but the shop keepers were friendly and you wont starve if you cant be bothered to travel further a field. It's a pleasant walk the the Sibton White Horse pub if you get bored sitting in the beautiful garden drinking wine.
We enjoyed visiting Aldeborgh and Southwold.
If you are thinking of staying anywhere in the vicinity I'd highly recommend White Sheep Cottage.
Sue thank you for making this such an easy transaction you were a joy to deal with and I do hope that I'll be back sooner rather than later.
