Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Keddleston Hall are all close by and offer an excellent day out. Come and be spoilt for choice when eating out at the many country pubs and restaurants nearby. Our guests enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our former working farm where its not unusual to encounter a cheeky pet goat or free ranging hen pottering around beside the spring fed stream which trickles beside the barn. Watching the sunset from the seating area outside the barn is a perfect way to end a relaxing day. For both old and young alike we feel that Winnow Barn offers something rather special. Everything was good
What a blissful birthday I had thanks to my happy family stay at Winnow Barn. Didn’t expect to need a fire in mid July but hey ho.

Divine Derbyshire Dales Digs
In a perfect location, secluded yet minutes to everything Derbyshire, Winnow Barn is everything the holiday renter could ask for - a responsive and attentive host, comfy furnishings, strong WiFi and plenty of TV choices, well stocked kitchen, good beds, lots of hot water for lovely long showers, and a very sweet barn cat (Thomas) who'll come over in the mornings to say hello! A little slice of bliss in a hectic world!

Superb accommodation
Deep in the heart of the Peak District, Winnow Barn is in a beautiful location surrounded by fields and woodland. The thick stone walls of the barn and the lovely furnishings make it a cosy place to unwind.

Relaxing trip
Great location and facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the barn. Ticked all the boxes for a relaxing trip - good kitchen facilities - comfortable beds - modern en suites - amazing views - kids enjoyed walks in the surrounding fields Didn’t manage to try the beer brewed on site - Maybe next time. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful place to stay
Well equipped and spacious, Winnow Barn was a great place for our family holiday (six adults). The upside down layout gives an amazing open plan living area with stunning views across the fields. The barn is at the centre of numerous footpaths, and there are plenty of circular walks of all lengths and difficulties Andrea and John are extremely helpful and welcoming hosts, and a real pleasure to deal with - we had to change our booking date from later in the year, and Andrea was completely unfazed by what I had anticipated being a problem. The accommodation is well equipped, having more than enough seating for the maximum 8 person capacity, and a good kitchen with range cooker and plenty of crockery. Finally I have to mention the benefits of an on-site micro-brewery, something I now feel all holiday lets should have! This was an ideal place to forget the pandemic and relax, I heartily recommend it.

Beautiful Location and Stunning Property
We had a family get together to celebrate a 60Th wedding anniversary and could not have wished for a better place to celebrate. We booked both the barn and the stables, both properties are stunning, presented beautifully with all the amenities you could wish for. A wonderful welcome from the owners, including a bottle of fizz, fresh lemon drizzle cake and a number of other surprises. The location is isolated but within a beautiful setting and outstanding countryside. The children adored the goats and the donkeys...... Our weekend was fantastic and we took the opportunity to visit Ashbourne and Ilam.

Cosy and comfortable - perfect base for Peak District walks!
We had a wonderful stay at Winnow Barn over a long weekend, we are a group of 6 friends and found the layout fantastic - each bedroom was comfortable and cosy with it's own on suite, and upstairs has the lovely log burner and we made great use of the kitchen and dining area to cook up big breakfasts and dinners. It's a great spot to do some lovely walks - Dovedale is close by, (what stunning scenery!) and some great pubs - the George at Alstonefield being a favourite. Hope to be back sometime soon.

Excellent accomodation, fantastic location, friendly and supportive owners . . .can't recommend it highly enough.
Excellent accommodation including fantastic open plan living room, dining area and kitchen all fully equipped with all you need for self catering. Lovely personal touches from Andrea the owner including fresh flowers from the garden and a home made lemon drizzle cake. Each of the four bedrooms are en suite and very comfortable and the whole place is beautifully decorated. Andrea is on hand to recommend local activities and amenities and the barns are beautifully located in the peak district in beautiful surroundings. I can't recommend this holiday rental highly enough :)

A beautiful property set in wonderful countryside. The property is spotlessly clean very comfortable. Every room is en suite with four couples sharing that was a big plus. Would not hesitate to recommend this property. Would like to thank Andrea and her staff for wonderful stay.

Perfect for group booking
We booked all 3 properties with an age range of 5 - 81 for a family get together. The barns were immaculately clean and very well equipped. Andrea and her family were on hand for any issues and made us all feel very welcome. The children loved the resident goats. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you
