“Beautiful, tranquil and difficult to leave”
Reviewed 20 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had such an amazing time at Seal Beach Cottage that it was hard to say goodbye on our last morning. The cottage itself was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic and we loved watching a family of otters playfully swim by, seals in the bay and the ferries passing. A+

“Perfection in Paradise”
Reviewed 3 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a 3 night stay at Seal Beach Cottage. We weren't sure what to expect and were so surprised at how modern and clean the cottage was......and then we looked outside. We couldn't believe the view from the cottage - almost right on the beach with the most spectacular outlook across the bay.

We cooked each night and ate at the outdoor table on the front porch (complete with small table for our 4 year old and his friends).

The cottage was close enough to walk to shops and lots of lovely little hikes through the national park beside the property.

Each morning, our son jumped out of bed and asked if he could run outside to the beach where all his buddies were collecting crabs, making sandcastles. It was just too perfect to be true.

We will be back!

Thank you for such a lovely review! We are so glad you had a wonderful time. The setting of the cottage is amazing - we admire it every time we arrive. Our property is 22 acres and has trails running through it with even benches to sit awhile. I am so glad you explored it.

“Relaxing!”
Reviewed 24 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked Seal Beach Cottage for a 3 night, long weekend stay for our daughter's 40th birthday.
There were 8 adults and our 3 year old granddaughter. The cottage is 2 bedroom and sleeps six with the pull out couch, so some camped in the camp ground attached. It had everything we needed. Dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, microwave, etc.
Plenty of room for all for dinner, games inside and out. It was very clean and spacious.
The beach was a few steps away for making sand castles etc.
we loved it. But take your own drinking water. Everything closes at 6 o'clock and as the ferry was late, didn't make it to the store on time when we got
there. Thrifty' s is pricey, because it's an island, so be aware of that.
All in all an excellent get away! I would go back in a heart beat!!!

“Comfortable and homey”
Reviewed 21 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Loved this efficient, nice sized cottage. It accomodated three adults nicely. Beds were comfortable and loved their pillows. Full clean kitchen.
Fireplace, tv, dvd's, a great view of the harbour. We had a few dozen seals bobbing and splashing in the cove.
Lois was very communicative and organzed and prompt. Can't say enough great things about this rental and its owners.
We even stayed an extra day because this was a lovely place to stay.

So glad you had a great time! Those Seals are residents most of the year hence the name. They are always fun to watch along with all the other marine animals and birds and Orcas on an especially good day! Come anytime - we loved having you all.

“Peaceful”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We travelled with 7 other adults and our little shitzu and we had a great ime staying at the seal beach cottage. The house was clean and amenities were complete. They made sure that even if we had a big group that our stay would be comfortable.
The area is very relaxing and the views from the cottage superb. It was the end of the camping season so we had the whole resort to ourselves. We had fun watching the seals on water and even sighted sea lions in nearby Oyster bay. We also spotted some deers.
We will definitely want to stay here again should we return to Mayne Island.
