So I had never even heard of a barefoot walk until we visited my friend in Germany. Apparently these are very popular there. It was so much fun! If you like kicking off your shoes and walking on grass, rocks, sand, and even mud this is for you. They have a station at the end to wash your feet. We also visited he Rodelbahn and Open Air Museum while in Gutach

Thank Kimberly C

This site is almost like a social sciences experiment - The entire "product" is that you get to walk barefoot on a path with changing textures - mud, sand, grass, rocks and wait for it - prickly pine cones. That is pretty much it, and the route is not even circular so you get to repeat parts of it.

Interspersed along the path are small huts with boxes you can smell and try to guess their content (50% of smells were mostly musty), a station where you can feel furs of a few dead animals, a 1 minute walk in the dark and some weird movies.

Add to this that there is electrocuted cow fences lining the site that our son accidentally touched and was zapped, the fact that there are not even towels or paper towel to dry your feet after washing them at the end and try to figure our how this justifies an entry fee of 26 Euro for a family of 5.

Take a walk at any waterfall, hiking trail or mountain in the black forest area and you will get far better value and experience, oh and you can take your shoes off there as well.

Final comment - just to make the social experiment theory stronger - look at the site logo - a foot is not a sense, hearing and tasting are not really represented. and the hand was represented mostly by handling dead animals furs and getting electrocuted.

Someone has to tell the truth about this site...

Thank you for your very friendly commentary !!

I am sure you were well informed before your visit in the park. You found a lot of pictures on our site, in our informationes and at the entrance of our park. We did not promise anything we did not hold and you could have talk to us about your criticism.
We would have told you !
1.At the entrance is a map from the park on wich everybody can see the way trough the park is not a circle. (On the way you find also signs in 3 languages)
2. All our used fragrances are 100 % essential oils and we are sure that for example thyme and oregano smells in israel also musty for you. (maybe your problem)
3.Towels for 30.000 visitors !??
4.You find round about 20 signs "Do not touch fences" a when your children can not read them, you can ! Do you prefer that your childrens overwhelmed by a horse ?
We are very sorry abour your impressions about our work, but your criticism is absolut not fair.
So please send us your bank details and your bank account and we send back to you € 26.40 for 5 people for a all day ticket.

With kind regards

Peter Reichle
