We really enjoyed our stay at this resort! We stayed in a one bedroom golf course view unit at the main Riverside building. It had obviously been updated and apparently much nicer than the other building from what I read in these reviews. The unit size was fine for us (just the two of us) but we would never recommend it for for 4 people with only 1 bathroom and a sofa bed for the other two people. We wish the bed had been a king rather than a queen. There was room for one.
We took a day trip to Glacier National Park (2 hours away) first but ended up booking a hotel room later in the week in Banff to be able to see Lake Louise and spend more time in Banff without driving back and forth again. That worked well for us but it did mean an extra cost. The scenery everywhere was spectacular! Lake Louise is incredible! (Parking was a challenge but we got lucky and got a spot near the lake)
We did use the resort’s pool and hot tub. We didn’t like that it cost money to play billiards and use a locker in the pool locker room. Very tacky to charge timeshare owners for small amenities like this. We also would have liked a midweek towel exchange but no housekeeping service of any kind was offered. (For a fee or otherwise). There was a shared washer/dryer in the entryway to our unit and the one next door. Ample detergent was provided in the unit,
Fairmont Hot Springs is pretty limited for dining and shopping, but Invermere was not too far away and offered more choices.
All in all we had a great week!

The suite was very comfortable and contained everything we needed for a pleasant week stay. We used the resort as a base to explore the Hot Springs area and the Canadian Rocky Mountains up to Banff and Lake Louise. The drive from the resort to Lake Louise is several hours but half of the enjoyment is viewing the incredible mountains and wild life. We saw grizzly and brown bears as well as mountain sheep and deer. The hot springs were very enjoyable by themselves.

Poor and outdated accommodations, building is separate from main resort and you need a car for everything since there is nothing available nearby that was decent, you have to drive long distances. The hot springs were the only attractions nearby but you have to drive,

Older resort, clean and well maintained. Got a one bdrm for 4. Sofa bed was unusable. Putting the mattress on the floor helped. Stayed in out bldg by airport. Gate for golf course has a beeper. 25 beeps every time a car goes in or out. Another day and I would have cut the wire. Serves no purpose. A good manager would have it removed.

Room Tip: Stay near office.

Overall a great resort with nice amenities. Maintenance was lacking. Several non functioning outlets, including the bathroom and a broken fold out bed. The bigger disappointment was the lack of concern or response to resolve the issue. The front desk said they had no authority to resolve in and wanted to charge us a fee for a sleeping pad. The employees were not seemingly at fault but the managements lack of empowering them to resolve a legitimate customer issue was really disappointing.
